Bronson Koenig Commits to Wisconsin
The Wisconsin football team wasn't the only big winner of the day, as basketball coach Bo Ryan received a commitment from sought-after 2013 combo guard Bronson Koenig.
Koenig, a 6-2 junior from La Crosse Aquinas, chose the Badgers over scholarship offers from Duke, North Carolina and Kansas.
He informed Ryan of his decision while attending the Wisconsin football game against South Dakota.
Koenig is a four-star recruit by Badger 247, as well as Scout.
He averaged 17 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game last year as led his team to a 27-1 record last year and a WIAA Division 3 state championship.
Koenig is the first verbal of the class of 2013 for Wisconsin and they are looking at more including point guard Geno Thorpe, power forward Kyle Washington and Semi Ojeyele.
